Optický patch kabel helos 50/125µm OM4 SC-SC duplex 0,5 m

helos 50/125µm OM4 SC-SC Duplex 0.5 m fiber optic patch cable is a multimode duplex cable designed for short-range high-speed links in data centers and network racks. Constructed with 50/125 µm core/cladding multimode fibers rated OM4, this 0.5 m SC-SC cable provides reliable duplex connections between servers, switches and patch panels while maintaining low insertion loss and consistent optical performance.

Advantages

The OM4 grading offers improved bandwidth and reach for multimode applications compared with lower OM ratings, enabling higher data rates over short distances. SC-SC duplex connectors ensure straightforward mating and stable mechanical alignment. The short 0.5 m length reduces unnecessary slack in dense rack environments and helps maintain tidy cable management. The cable construction aims to deliver low insertion loss and consistent attenuation for dependable network performance.

Suitable for

• Short-range backbone and patching within data centers and server rooms
• Interconnects between switches, routers and patch panels in racks
• High-density network cabinets where short duplex links are required
• Multimode optical links using OM4 fibers for 10GbE, 40GbE or 100GbE over short distances

Key specifications

• Fiber type: multimode, 50/125 µm core/cladding
• Multimode grade: OM4
• Connector type: SC to SC duplex
• Length: 0.5 m
• Polish/type: duplex paired connectors with keyed orientation for transmit/receive alignment
• Typical application: short-range high-speed links in racks and patch panels

How to use

Install the helos OM4 SC-SC duplex patch cable by aligning the SC connectors with the corresponding SC ports on equipment, ensuring correct TX/RX orientation where required. Gently insert the connectors until they latch and verify link status on connected devices. Avoid bending the cable beyond recommended bend radius and secure excess length to maintain tidy routing and minimize stress on connectors. For testing, use appropriate optical power meters or light sources and follow standard multimode fiber test procedures.

Recommendations

Store and handle the cable in a clean environment to prevent contamination of connector end faces. Inspect and, if necessary, clean connector end faces before mating. Avoid excessive bending and pulling; adhere to manufacturer bend-radius and tensile limits. Use this 0.5 m duplex patch cable for intra-rack and short inter-rack links where OM4 multimode performance is required.
