Optický kabel Helos 1 m OM4 LC/SC

The Helos 1m OM4 LC/SC fibre optic cable is a duplex multimode link with a 50 µm core diameter designed for high-speed data transmission in server rooms, telecom racks and enterprise networks. With OM4 graded multimode fiber it supports higher bandwidth over short to medium distances compared with lower-grade multimode cables. The cable features an LC connector on one end and an SC connector on the other, providing compatibility between equipment with different port types and enabling straightforward integration into existing fibre installations.

Advantages

This OM4 fibre cable delivers stable, low-loss optical connections suitable for 10 Gbit/s and higher multimode applications at short to medium ranges. The LC and SC connectors are industry-standard types that allow flexible patching and cross-connects without adapters in many setups. The 1 m length reduces excess slack in rack-mounted or desk-side connections and helps maintain tidy cable management while preserving signal integrity for full-duplex communication.

Suitable for

• Connecting switches, transceivers and patch panels in data centers
• Short-range server-to-switch and switch-to-switch links
• Telecom racks and enterprise network backbone segments
• Interfacing equipment with LC and SC ports

Key specifications

• Fiber type: OM4 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector types: LC (one end) to SC (other end)
• Length: 1 m
• Polarity: duplex (full duplex communication)
• Typical applications: 10 Gbit/s and higher multimode links at short to medium distances

How to use

Inspect connector endfaces for cleanliness before insertion and use appropriate cleaning tools if required. Align the LC connector with the LC port and gently insert until it clicks, then align and insert the SC connector into the SC port until it seats securely. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and maintain the minimum bend radius specified for multimode fiber to prevent increased attenuation. For duplex links ensure correct polarity so transmit and receive channels are paired between devices.

Recommendations

Store and handle the cable in a dust-free environment when possible; avoid tensile stress and repeated tight bends. Use labelled patch panels or colour-coded management to keep LC-to-SC connections identifiable. For mission-critical links verify link performance with an OTDR or light source and power meter after installation and periodically check connector cleanliness to sustain optimal transmission quality.
