Optický kabel Helos 1 m OM4 SC/SC

The Helos 1m OM4 SC/SC fibre optic cable is a single-mode-length multimode patch cord designed for high-speed data transmission in enterprise networks. With a core diameter of 50 µm and OM4 classification, the cable supports full duplex communication via SC connectors on both ends. Its 1 meter length and standardized SC/SC termination ensure straightforward integration into patch panels, switches and transceivers where OM4 multimode performance is required.

Advantages

The OM4 classification provides improved bandwidth and lower attenuation compared with lower multimode grades, enabling efficient performance over longer multimode distances. The SC connectors deliver reliable push-pull mating and consistent optical alignment. A 1 m length reduces excess slack in rack and cabinet installations while maintaining flexibility for organized cable routing. The construction is suitable for data center and structured cabling environments where predictable multimode behavior is needed.

Suitable for

• Connecting network switches, patch panels and transceivers in data centers
• Short- to medium-range multimode links in enterprise LANs
• High-speed server uplinks and storage area network (SAN) patching
• Structured cabling runs requiring OM4 performance

Key specifications

• Length: 1 m
• Fiber type: Multimode, OM4
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: SC to SC (both ends)
• Transmission: Full duplex

How to use

Prepare the installation by verifying both endpoints accept SC connectors and are rated for multimode OM4 links. Insert each SC connector into the corresponding SC port until it clicks into place, observing correct orientation for duplex operation. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and mechanical strain; maintain manufacturer-recommended bend radius for multimode fibre. After connection, perform optical link testing or use existing network diagnostics to confirm signal levels and link integrity.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, keep connector endfaces clean and protected when not in use, use dust caps during handling, and avoid exceeding recommended bend radius. Use appropriate cleaning tools and inspection equipment to ensure low insertion loss in OM4 multimode links. Choose cable length and routing that minimize excess slack and reduce risk of physical damage in rack or conduit installations.
