Optický kabel Helos 10 m OM4 LC/LC

The Helos 10m OM4 LC/LC fibre optic cable provides a 10-metre duplex connection using LC connectors on both ends and a 50 µm multimode core optimized for high-bandwidth transmission. Designed for applications that require reliable, low-loss links, this OM4-rated cable supports increased modal bandwidth and is suitable for modern data centre and enterprise network environments. The cable's construction balances flexibility and mechanical protection to maintain signal integrity over longer patching distances.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable uses OM4 multimode fibre with a 50 µm core to deliver higher bandwidth capacity and improved performance for short- to medium-range links compared with lower-grade multimode types. The LC/LC duplex configuration enables full-duplex communication with compact connector housings that fit dense patch panels. Durable housing and strain-relief features reduce the risk of connector damage and maintain consistent attenuation characteristics under normal handling.

Suitable for

• Data centre patching and switch-to-switch connections
• High-performance local area networks (LANs)
• Storage area networks (SANs) requiring high throughput
• Server to transceiver or media converter links
• Backbone segments inside buildings and equipment racks

Key specifications

• Length: 10 metres
• Fibre type: Multimode OM4
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: LC to LC duplex
• Transmission: Full duplex
• Applicable environment: Indoor patching and rack installations

How to use

Connect each LC connector to the corresponding LC port on networking equipment, ensuring proper orientation and secure latching. Use the duplex cable in the correct polarity (A-to-B) as required by the network devices; many installations use standard straight-through duplex pairing. Route the cable through cable management trays or along rack pathways to avoid sharp bends and excessive tension. When installing, keep bend radius within manufacturer-recommended limits for multimode fibre to prevent increased attenuation or damage.

Recommendations

Inspect connectors for contamination and clean with appropriate fibre cleaning tools before making connections. For best performance, avoid tight bends, protect the cable from crushing or repeated flexure, and store spare lengths on suitable reels or slack management devices. Use OM4 multimode cable where higher modal bandwidth is required for 10 GbE and some 40/100 GbE short-range links, and verify device compatibility with LC duplex interfaces.
