Optický kabel Helos 1 m OM4 LC/LC

The Helos 1m OM4 LC/LC fibre optic cable is a duplex multimode lead with a 50 µm core diameter designed for high-speed, short-distance connections. With LC connectors on both ends and OM4-grade multimode fibre, this 1-metre cable supports consistent data throughput and low attenuation in environments such as data centres, server rooms and active equipment racks. The compact length and LC/LC termination make it suitable for patching between network switches, transceivers and optical patch panels where space is limited.

Advantages

This OM4 LC/LC cable offers improved bandwidth and reduced modal dispersion compared with lower-grade multimode fibres, helping maintain signal integrity at higher data rates. The LC connector format provides a small form factor that saves rack and panel space while ensuring reliable mechanical connection and repeatable optical performance. The 1 m length minimises excess cabling and simplifies cable management for short links.

Suitable for

• Short-reach connections in data centres and server rooms
• Patching between switches, transceivers and optical modules
• High-speed multimode networks (10GbE, 40GbE, and beyond with appropriate transceivers)
• Optical patch panels and rack-mounted equipment with LC ports

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM4 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: LC to LC, duplex
• Cable length: 1 metre
• Application: short-distance high-speed data links

How to use

Identify the LC ports on your network devices or patch panels and gently insert each LC connector until it clicks into place, observing the duplex orientation required by your equipment. Avoid bending the cable sharply; maintain the manufacturer's minimum bend radius to prevent increased attenuation or fibre damage. For removal, depress the connector latch and pull straight out. Use proper dust caps when connectors are not in use and inspect end faces with an appropriate fibre inspection tool if optical performance issues are suspected.

Recommendations

Store and route the cable to avoid tight bends and mechanical stress. Clean connector end faces before mating to reduce insertion loss. Use this 1 m OM4 LC/LC cable for short patching runs where OM4 performance and LC compactness are required.
