Optický kabel Helos 7,5 m OS2 LC/ST

The Helos 7.5m OS2 LC/ST fibre optic cable is a single-mode patch cable designed for long-distance, high-speed data transmission. With a length of 7.5 meters and a 9 µm core diameter, this cable supports full-duplex communication and combines LC and ST terminations for compatibility with a range of networking equipment. The OS2 fibre type delivers low attenuation and stable signal performance, making the cable suitable for backbone links, server room connections, and point-to-point links where single-mode operation is required.

Advantages

This LC/ST fibre optic cable provides reliable single-mode performance with low insertion loss and consistent full-duplex data transfer. The combination of LC and ST connectors increases interoperability with different devices and patch panels. Its 7.5 m length offers flexibility for routing between racks or linking equipment across small to medium-sized rooms. The 9 µm core optimized for OS2 fibres supports long-reach transmission and reduced signal dispersion compared to multimode alternatives.

Suitable for

• Server room and data centre interconnects
• Point-to-point links in telecommunications and network backbones
• Connections between optical transceivers and patch panels
• Network upgrades requiring single-mode OS2 fibre

Key specifications

• Optical type: single-mode OS2
• Length: 7.5 m
• Core diameter: 9 µm
• Connector A: LC
• Connector B: ST
• Transmission mode: full duplex
• Cable use: patch/patching cable for indoor installations

How to use

Inspect connector end faces for cleanliness before installation and clean with appropriate fibre cleaners if necessary. Connect the LC end to the corresponding LC port on the transceiver or patch panel and insert the ST connector into the ST receptacle, ensuring secure latch or bayonet engagement. Route the cable following existing cable management practices to avoid sharp bends; maintain the manufacturer's minimum bend radius to prevent microbending losses. For optimal performance, avoid excessive tension and protect the cable from crush or kink during installation.

Recommendations

Use in indoor networking environments and controlled infrastructure spaces. Regularly inspect connectors and clean with fibre-safe tools to maintain low insertion loss. When routing through trays or conduits, adhere to bend radius and strain-relief guidelines to preserve signal integrity and prolong cable life.
