Optický kabel Helos 3 m OS2 LC/SC

The Helos 3m OS2 LC/SC fibre optic cable is a single-mode patch cable with a 3 meter length and a 9 µm core diameter, designed for full duplex data transmission. Featuring an LC connector on one end and an SC connector on the other, this cable provides straightforward single-mode connections between devices with LC and SC ports. It is intended for use in network patching, equipment interconnects and point-to-point single-mode links where low attenuation and stable signal integrity are required.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable delivers low-loss single-mode performance suitable for long-distance and high-speed links. The LC and SC connectors give broad compatibility with networking equipment and transceivers. With a 3 m length, the cable is long enough for rack-to-rack or equipment-to-equipment connections while remaining easy to route and manage. The 9 µm core diameter follows single-mode OS2 specifications to minimise dispersion and attenuation over fibre runs.

Suitable for

• Point-to-point single-mode connections between switches, transceivers and media converters
• Data centre patching and equipment interconnects
• Telecommunications and enterprise network backbones using OS2 single-mode fibre
• Linking optical modules with LC and SC interfaces

Key specifications

• Type: Single-mode fibre (OS2)
• Length: 3 m
• Core diameter: 9 µm
• Connector A: LC
• Connector B: SC
• Mode: Full duplex
• Typical use: Patch cable / equipment interconnect

How to use

Inspect connector endfaces for cleanliness before installation and, if necessary, clean with a suitable fibre optic cleaning tool. Align and insert the LC connector into the LC port and the SC connector into the SC port until each connector is fully seated and secured. For full duplex operation, ensure transmit and receive ports are matched correctly between devices. Avoid tight bends or kinks in the cable; maintain the manufacturer-recommended minimum bend radius during routing and cable management.

Recommendations

Use dust caps when connectors are not in use, and store the cable coiled loosely to prevent microbends. For best performance, clean connector endfaces prior to mating and avoid mechanical stress or repeated sharp bending. Verify link performance after installation with appropriate optical test equipment.
