Optický kabel Helos 2 m OS2 LC/SC

The Helos 2m OS2 LC/SC fibre optic cable is a single-mode jumper designed for reliable high-speed data transmission. With a 2 metre length and a 9 µm core diameter, this OS2-rated cable is intended for long-distance, low-loss signal delivery. The cable terminates with an LC connector on one end and an SC connector on the other, enabling full-duplex communication and compatibility with a wide range of network equipment and optical transceivers.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable provides low attenuation and stable single-mode performance thanks to its OS2 specification and 9 µm core. The LC/SC termination combination offers flexible connectivity between devices that use compact LC ports and equipment with standard SC ports. A 2 metre length reduces excess cabling in rack and patch-panel installations while preserving signal integrity for high-bandwidth links.

Suitable for

• Connecting optical transceivers in switches, routers and media converters
• Patching between LC-equipped devices and SC patch panels or sockets
• High-speed data links in data centres and enterprise networks
• Longer-distance single-mode links within buildings and campus environments

Key specifications

• Fibre type: Single-mode (OS2)
• Length: 2 m
• Core diameter: 9 µm
• Connectors: LC (one end) to SC (other end)
• Transmission: Full duplex
• Typical use: Patch/jumper cable for fibre-optic networks

How to use

Inspect connector endfaces for dust or damage before installation and clean them with appropriate fibre-optic cleaning tools if necessary. Insert the LC connector into the LC receptacle and the SC connector into the SC receptacle until each clicks or seats securely. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and mechanical stress; maintain minimum bend radius as recommended for single-mode fibre cables. Verify link status and optical power levels using network diagnostics or an optical power meter to confirm proper connection and performance.

Recommendations

Use this OS2 single-mode LC/SC cable for links where low-loss and single-mode performance are required. Store and handle connectors with protective caps when not in use to prevent contamination. For critical links, test end-to-end optical loss and consider spare jumpers in patch areas to minimize downtime during maintenance.
