InLine sériový kabel DB9 samec/samec přímý 3m

This InLine serial cable DB9 male/male direct 3m is a 3‑metre data cable with 9‑pin Sub‑D (DB9) male connectors on both ends. It is intended for direct serial connections between peripheral devices, data switches and PCs or servers, and is finished in a beige colour for unobtrusive installation.

Advantages

The cable provides a straightforward wired serial link with standard DB9 male connectors, ensuring compatibility with equipment that uses RS‑232 style ports. At 3 metres it offers extended reach for desktop or rack connections while remaining flexible enough for typical routing behind furniture or equipment. The direct wired pinout avoids the need for adapters when connecting devices that require a straight‑through DB9 male‑to‑male connection.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

• Connecting serial peripherals (e.g., older modems, serial printers)
• Linking data switches or serial consoles to PCs and servers
• Use in office, lab or home environments where RS‑232 connections are required

How to use

Connect one DB9 male connector to the serial port of the peripheral device and the other DB9 male connector to the serial port of the PC, server or data switch. Ensure both devices are powered off when making the physical connection if recommended by the device manufacturers. After connecting, power the devices and configure serial communication parameters (baud rate, parity, data bits, stop bits) in the host and peripheral device settings as required.

Recommendations

Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and sources of strong electromagnetic interference. For reliable long‑term operation, inspect connectors for dirt or damage before use and secure connections to prevent strain on the connector shells.
