BlueOptics H-QSFP+AOC5M-BO InfiniBand optický kabel 5 m samec/samec

The BlueOptics H-QSFP+AOC5M-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 5 m Male/Male is a 5-metre active optical cable (AOC) with QSFP-to-QSFP connectors designed for high-speed short-reach links. The cable implements a transmitter and receiver on each end and uses multimode fibre to carry optical signals suitable for 40G-class applications over a 5 m distance. It follows QSFP MSA connector conventions and is intended for use in data centers and networking equipment that require compact, low-latency optical connections.

Advantages

This BlueOptics AOC provides predictable signal integrity for short-reach interconnects with the convenience of a pre-terminated QSFP-to-QSFP assembly. The built-in transceivers eliminate the need for separate plug-in modules and multimode fibre patching, reducing installation time and physical connector count. The 5 m length supports flexible rack-to-rack and chassis-to-chassis connections while maintaining 40G-class throughput over multimode fibre.

How to use

Install the cable by inserting each QSFP connector into the appropriate QSFP ports on devices that support QSFP connections. Ensure devices are powered down or follow hot-plug procedures recommended by the equipment manufacturer if inserting while live. Confirm link status and negotiate the expected 40G or supported protocol (Ethernet, InfiniBand, or other supported high-speed protocol) via the host device management interface. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and maintain minimum bend radius specified by multimode AOC practice.

Recommendations

Use this BlueOptics AOC for short-distance, high-throughput interconnects inside racks and between adjacent racks. Avoid repeated sharp bends, excessive tensile stress, and exposure to fluids or extreme temperatures to preserve optical performance. Verify compatibility with the host hardware platform and firmware versions before deployment.
