BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-15M-SP-BO InfiniBand optický kabel 15m samec/samec

The BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-15M-SP-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 15m Male/Male is a 15-meter active optical cable (AOC) with SFP28 connectors designed for high-speed short-range interconnects. It provides a direct SFP28-to-SFP28 connection using multimode fiber with integrated transmitter and receiver modules on each end. The cable is suitable for 25G data rates and is built to follow MSA-compatible SFP28 form-factor standards for reliable connectivity in networking equipment.

Advantages

The AOC design integrates optical transceivers into the cable ends, reducing the need for separate pluggable modules and simplifying installation. As a 15-meter SFP28 AOC, it supports high-bandwidth links while eliminating electrical signal loss over copper at similar distances. Compatibility with SFP28 ports and MSA-compliant hardware ensures straightforward deployment in systems that accept SFP28 AOC connections. The multimode optical medium and active electronics provide stable signal integrity for short-reach data center links.

Suitable for

• Data center interconnects between switches and top-of-rack devices
• High-performance computing clusters requiring low-latency links
• Server-to-switch or switch-to-switch connections within racks or across adjacent racks
• Environments using SFP28 ports for 25G Ethernet or InfiniBand short-range links

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP28 male to SFP28 male (active optical cable)
• Cable length: 15 meters
• Technology: Active Optical Cable (AOC) with integrated Tx/Rx
• Optical medium: multimode fiber
• Supported data rate: up to 25 Gbit/s per link (25G)
• Form factor compatibility: SFP28 MSA-compliant

How to use

Install the BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-15M-SP-BO by inserting each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on your networking devices until it latches. Ensure both endpoints are powered and configured to operate at the intended 25G or compatible interface standard. No separate transceivers or fiber patching is required since the cable contains integrated optical transceivers. Verify link status LEDs or device software to confirm an active connection and proper link speed.

Recommendations

Use this AOC for short-reach connections inside racks or between adjacent racks, avoid tight bends or excessive strain on the cable, and keep connectors clean before insertion. Confirm device compatibility with SFP28 AOC modules and proper port support for 25G or InfiniBand short-range operation.
