BlueOptics ET6402-AOC-5M-BO InfiniBand/optický kabel QSFP 5m samec/samec

The BlueOptics ET6402-AOC-5M-BO InfiniBand/fibre optic cable QSFP 5m Male/Male is a 5‑meter active optical cable (AOC) with QSFP-to-QSFP male connectors. Designed for short-reach, high-bandwidth interconnects, this cable carries optical signals over multimode fiber and supports 40G class transmission for compatible networking and storage hardware. The integrated transmitter and receiver modules at each end convert and transmit optical signals, enabling direct device-to-device connections without separate transceivers.

Advantages

This BlueOptics AOC provides a factory-terminated, plug-and-play QSFP connection that reduces cable bulk and simplifies installation compared with discrete transceiver-plus-fiber assemblies. The 5 m length is suitable for rack-to-rack and intra-rack connections, delivering up to 40 Gbit/s bandwidth while avoiding electrical signal losses associated with copper for similar distances. Compatibility with standard QSFP MSA interfaces ensures interoperability with hardware that supports QSFP 40G links.

How to use

Insert each QSFP connector into the corresponding QSFP port on your network devices until the latch engages. Ensure both devices support QSFP 40G links and the same transmission protocol. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and protect it from mechanical stress. No separate transceivers or patch panels are required; the active optical cable handles optical-to-electrical conversion internally. Verify link status on connected equipment and check speed/duplex settings as needed.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, install the cable within its specified bend radius and avoid kinking. Use this 5 m BlueOptics AOC for short-reach, high-bandwidth connections inside racks or between adjacent racks. Confirm compatibility with your hardware platform and firmware to ensure proper link negotiation at 40G.
