BlueOptics ET6402-AOC-50M-BO InfiniBand optický kabel 50m QSFP samec/samec

The BlueOptics ET6402-AOC-50M-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 50m QSFP Male/Male is an active optical cable (AOC) designed for high-speed, short-reach connections in data center and high-performance computing environments. With QSFP connectors on both ends and a 50 metre multimode optical link, the cable supports 40G transmission protocols and provides a low-latency, high-bandwidth connection between compatible QSFP ports.

Advantages

This 50m active optical cable integrates optical transmitters and receivers at both ends to simplify installation and reduce signal loss over multimode fibre. The QSFP-to-QSFP connection follows MSA-compatible mechanical interfaces, ensuring physical compatibility with equipment that supports QSFP modules and AOC links. The cable offers immunity to electromagnetic interference and a lighter, more flexible alternative to copper cabling for equivalent short-range high-speed links.

How to use

Connect each QSFP male connector to the corresponding QSFP port on the devices to be linked, ensuring ports accept QSFP AOC connections and match the supported 40G protocol. Handle the cable by the connector housings and avoid tight bends near the cable ends to preserve optical performance. No additional transceivers are required because the AOC contains the optical transceivers integrated into the cable ends.

Recommendations

Verify device compatibility with QSFP AOC links and the 40G transmission protocol before deployment. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and sources of mechanical stress, and test the link after installation to confirm expected throughput and latency in the intended network configuration.
