BlueOptics ET6402-AOC-20M-BO InfiniBand optický kabel 20m QSFP samec/samec

The BlueOptics ET6402-AOC-20M-BO InfiniBand Fibre Optic Cable 20m QSFP Male/Male is a 20‑metre active optical cable (AOC) with QSFP-to-QSFP connectors designed for high-speed links in data centre and high-performance computing environments. The cable implements transceivers at both ends to transmit and receive optical signals over multimode fibre and is compatible with MSA QSFP interfaces. It supports 40G multi-lane short-reach applications and is intended for use where a direct QSFP connection over 20 metres is required.

Advantages

The active optical design provides electrical isolation and reduced signal loss compared with equivalent copper assemblies while maintaining a compact QSFP form factor. Built to industry MSA QSFP standards, the cable supports multi-protocol operation including Ethernet and Fibre Channel over short-reach links up to 40 Gbit/s. Its 20 m length enables flexible rack-to-rack or row-to-row connections without intermediate transceivers or patch panels.

How to use

Install by inserting each QSFP connector into the corresponding QSFP port on the devices to be linked, ensuring the latch engages and connectors are fully seated. Verify link status and speed on connected devices according to their interface diagnostics. No external power source or separate transceivers are required because the AOC contains built-in transmitters and receivers at each end. Handle the cable by its connector bodies and avoid tight bends along the fibre to preserve signal integrity.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical strain, maintain bend radii recommended for multimode AOCs, and use proper air flow and cable management in racks. Confirm device compatibility with QSFP AOCs and test links after installation to validate 40G operation in your specific hardware environment.
