BlueOptics ET6402-AOC-15M-BO InfiniBand optický kabel 15m QSFP samec/samec

The BlueOptics ET6402-AOC-15M-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 15m QSFP Male/Male is a 15‑metre active optical cable (AOC) with QSFP-to-QSFP male connectors designed for high-speed short-reach links. It integrates transceivers and uses multimode fibre to support up to 40 Gbit/s per channel following SR4 transmission characteristics and MSA-compliant QSFP connectivity. The cable is intended for use in data center environments and with network equipment that supports QSFP AOC connections.

Advantages

The AOC design combines transmitter and receiver modules built into the cable ends, eliminating separate transceivers and simplifying installation. With a fixed 15 m length and QSFP male connectors on both ends, the cable delivers consistent 40G performance with reduced electromagnetic interference compared with copper alternatives. Compliance with MSA-style QSFP pinout and SR4 optical signalling ensures interoperability with hardware platforms that officially support compatible 40G AOC solutions.

How to use

Ensure both devices have compatible QSFP AOC ports and support 40G SR4 or equivalent signalling before installation. With systems powered down or ports logically disabled per your operational procedures, insert each QSFP connector into the corresponding QSFP slot until it seats firmly. Re-enable ports or power systems and verify link status through device LEDs or management interfaces. Monitor link negotiation and performance using the host equipment’s diagnostic tools to confirm 40G operation.

Recommendations

Use the cable within its intended short-reach multimode environment and avoid sharp bends, excessive pulling force, or exposure to liquids and contaminants. Verify hardware compatibility with your switch, router, or storage vendor documentation for supported AOC modules and follow electrostatic discharge (ESD) precautions when handling connectors.
