BlueOptics QSFP28-AOC-5M-BO InfiniBand optický kabel 5m samec/samec

The BlueOptics QSFP28-AOC-5M-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable is a 5‑metre active optical cable with QSFP28 connectors on both ends, designed for high‑speed data transfer in data centres and high‑performance computing environments. It supports multi‑mode optical transmission following MSA QSFP28 form‑factor conventions and is intended for direct connections between switches, routers, storage systems and servers where 100G links and InfiniBand protocols are used.

Advantages

This BlueOptics QSFP28 AOC integrates transceivers at each end to enable optical signal transmission over a pre‑assembled multi‑mode fibre link, eliminating the need for separate transceivers and patching. The cable is built to MSA‑compatible QSFP28 standards and is produced with components from established vendors, which contributes to long service life and stable operation. It supports digital diagnostics (DDM/DOM) for real‑time monitoring of key parameters such as supply voltage, optical power and temperature when the host hardware provides support for that feature.

How to use

Insert each QSFP28 connector into the corresponding QSFP28 port on the devices to be connected, ensuring the connector latch engages. Verify that the host devices support QSFP28 AOC modules and, if required, enable or check DDM/DOM support in the device management interface to view diagnostics. No additional transceivers are needed; the cable provides an integrated transmit and receive path for optical signals over the 5‑metre link.

Recommendations

Use the BlueOptics QSFP28‑AOC‑5M‑BO for short‑reach 100G connections in rack and row cabling scenarios; keep the cable route free from tight bends and mechanical stress and ensure compatible QSFP28 ports on both ends to maintain expected performance and diagnostic visibility.
