BlueOptics CBL-QSFP-40GE-15M-BO InfiniBand optický kabel 15 m samec/samec

The BlueOptics CBL-QSFP-40GE-15M-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable is a 15-metre active optical cable (AOC) with QSFP-to-QSFP male connectors designed for high-speed data transmission over multimode fibre. It complies with MSA QSFP form-factor expectations and supports 40GBASE-SR4 class links, providing a point-to-point optical connection that integrates a transmitter and receiver on each end to handle optical signalling protocols for Ethernet, Fibre Channel over Ethernet or SDH/SONET.

Advantages

This 15 m AOC delivers stable 40 Gbit/s connectivity while reducing electromagnetic interference and heat compared with equivalent copper solutions. The integrated transceiver design simplifies installation and removes the need for separate SFP/QSFP modules. Compatibility with major hardware platforms that accept standard QSFP 40GBASE-SR4 connections enables straightforward integration into existing data centre or HPC topologies.

How to use

Install the cable by inserting each QSFP connector securely into the QSFP ports of the devices to be linked, ensuring the latch engages. Verify port compatibility and link settings on both devices before powering up the links. Use vendor-recommended procedures to check link status and diagnostics; the cable’s integrated transceivers will negotiate the supported protocol (Ethernet, FCoE or SDH/SONET) with the connected equipment.

Recommendations

Route and secure the cable to avoid tight bends and mechanical strain; maintain the minimum bend radius for multimode fibre and avoid sharp kinks. Use appropriate ESD precautions when handling the connectors, and keep dust caps on unused ends until installation. For optimal performance, ensure connected equipment supports 40GBASE-SR4 QSFP AOC modules and is configured for the intended protocol and lane mapping.
