Spravovaný switch Cisco Catalyst C9300-24P-E

The Cisco Catalyst C9300-24P-E is a managed L2/L3 Gigabit Ethernet switch designed for enterprise access and aggregation. It provides 24 Gigabit RJ-45 ports with Power over Ethernet (PoE/PoE+), a switching capacity of 208 Gbit/s and a MAC address table sized for 32,000 entries. Built on the Catalyst 9300 Series platform, this 1U rack-mountable switch supports modern network architectures including Software-Defined Access (SD-Access) and runs Cisco IOS XE for programmability, security features, and IoT convergence.

Advantages

The C9300-24P-E combines high-density Gigabit connectivity with PoE capabilities and enterprise-class features such as StackWise stacking, Cisco StackPower, and support for advanced networking standards (VLAN, 802.1x, link aggregation). Its x86-based CPU and expanded memory enable native programmability and the ability to host containers or third-party applications. The switch delivers resilient operation with nonstop forwarding and Stateful Switchover (NSF/SSO) and integrates into Cisco Digital Network Architecture (Cisco DNA) for policy-driven automation.

Suitable for

• Access-layer aggregation in campus networks
• Powering and connecting IP phones, wireless access points, and cameras using PoE/PoE+
• Environments requiring secure 802.1x and VLAN segmentation
• Networks that use Cisco SD-Access or require stackable switches with high stacking bandwidth

How to use

Install the C9300-24P-E in a standard 19-inch rack using the included mounting kit. Connect uplink ports to your distribution/core switches and attach access devices (phones, APs, cameras) to the 24 Gigabit PoE ports. Configure management access via console, SSH, or a network management platform and apply VLANs, access control (802.1x), and QoS according to your network design. For redundancy and simplified management, join multiple units using StackWise and configure stack-level settings.

Recommendations

When deploying the switch in PoE-heavy environments, verify power budget and consider using Cisco StackPower to share power across stack members. Keep IOS XE software up to date for security patches and feature updates, and use Cisco DNA Center or an orchestration tool to implement SD-Access policies and automate routine configurations.
