SFP+ kabel BlueOptics SFP-10G-DAC1M-BL 1m samec/samec

The BlueOptics SFP-10G-DAC1M-BL is a 1 meter SFP+ direct attach cable (DAC) with SFP+ male connectors on both ends, designed for short-distance high-speed interconnects. As a passive 10GBase-CR twinax copper solution, this 1 m cable supports electrical signal transfer for 10 Gbit/s links between rack-mounted devices and adjacent racks. The cable is suitable for use in network switches, routers and storage systems that accept SFP+ passive DACs and is offered in a black and silver finish with a compact 30 AWG twinax construction.

Advantages

The passive SFP+ DAC design provides low latency and very low power consumption compared to active optical modules. Being MSA-compliant and built with high-quality components, the cable delivers consistent 10 Gbit/s performance for short links while reducing complexity and maintenance needs. Its male-to-male SFP+ connectors ensure a secure physical connection and straightforward installation in compatible SFP+ ports.

Key specifications

How to use

Insert each SFP+ connector into the corresponding SFP+ port of the devices to be linked, ensuring the latch or release mechanism engages securely. Use this cable for direct 10G electrical connections over short distances (up to 1 m) where both devices explicitly support passive SFP+ DACs. Verify device compatibility and port settings in the hardware documentation before deployment to ensure proper link negotiation and protocol support.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, avoid sharp bends and excessive pulling force on the twinax cable. Use the cable in rack and adjacent-rack scenarios; confirm that connected equipment supports passive DACs and the required 10G protocols. Store and handle the cable in accordance with standard electrostatic discharge precautions and keep connectors protected when not in use.
