Optický duplexní kabel SC/SC InLine 83510P 10 m OM4 50/125µm

The InLine Fiber Optical Duplex Cable SC/SC 50/125µm OM4 10m is a duplex multimode fiber patch cable engineered for high-speed data transmission in short- to medium-range network links. Featuring SC connectors on both ends and an OM4 graded-index 50/125µm core, the cable supports full-duplex communication and enhanced bandwidth for modern network equipment. Its 10-meter length provides flexibility in rack, patch panel and equipment interconnects while maintaining low insertion loss and stable optical performance.

Advantages

This SC/SC duplex fiber cable uses OM4 multimode fiber to deliver improved modal bandwidth compared with lower grade multimode fibers, enabling higher data rates and better performance for 10 Gigabit and higher multimode links. The fixed duplex construction with standardized SC connectors ensures reliable physical mating, repeatable optical connections and straightforward installation. OM4 fiber construction offers reduced attenuation and optimized modal dispersion characteristics for reliable signal integrity over the intended link length.

Suitable for

• Data centre patching and equipment interconnects
• Switch-to-switch and switch-to-server multimode connections
• Fiber optic patch panels and distribution frames
• Enterprise LAN backbone and server room cabling

Key specifications

• Fiber type: Multimode OM4
• Core/cladding diameter: 50/125 µm
• Connector type: SC to SC, duplex
• Length: 10 m
• Polishing: Typically UPC (industry-standard for SC multimode assemblies)
• Intended use: Duplex patching for multimode optical networks

How to use

Route the fiber cable between the two network endpoints ensuring gentle bends and avoiding tight radii to prevent stress on the fiber. Align the SC connectors with the corresponding adapter ports and insert until a secure latch is felt; verify that the duplex orientation matches the transmit/receive pairing on both ends. After installation, inspect connection quality and, if available, measure insertion loss or use an optical tester to confirm acceptable optical performance for the intended link.

Recommendations

Store and handle the cable using standard fiber-optic best practices: avoid bending beyond the minimum bend radius, protect connectors with dust caps when not in use, and keep connectors clean to minimise insertion loss. Use this OM4 duplex cable for multimode links where improved bandwidth and lower modal dispersion are required, and pair it with compatible multimode transceivers and adapters for optimal results.
