Optický duplexní kabel InLine 88505P 50/125µm OM4 5 m

The InLine Fiber Optical Duplex Cable 50/125µm OM4 5m is a multimode duplex patch cable designed for high-speed data transmission in structured cabling environments. With a 50 µm core and OM4 specification, the cable supports increased bandwidth and reduced modal dispersion compared to lower-grade multimode fibers. The 5 meter length provides a balance between reach and cable management for use in racks, patch panels and network devices where reliable duplex connections are required.

Advantages

The OM4 50/125µm fiber delivers higher bandwidth and longer effective reach for multimode applications, enabling more stable performance for 10 Gigabit Ethernet and beyond in typical data center link lengths. Duplex construction ensures simultaneous send and receive channels for full duplex communication. The cable is manufactured to industry standards for core/cladding dimensions and attenuation, offering consistent optical performance and low insertion loss. A 5 m length simplifies installation within racks and allows organized routing between patch panels and switches.

Suitable for

• Data center horizontal and equipment interconnects
• 10 GbE, 40 GbE and short-reach high-speed network links
• Connections between switches, servers and storage arrays
• Patch panels and optical distribution frames

Key specifications

• Fiber type: Multimode OM4
• Core/cladding diameter: 50/125 µm
• Configuration: Duplex (two fibers)
• Length: 5 m
• Typical applications: Short to medium reach multimode links for data networking
• Performance characteristics: Low attenuation and optimized modal bandwidth for OM4

How to use

Route the duplex cable between the required optical ports, ensuring correct orientation of the transmit and receive channels. Insert each connector into the appropriate transceiver or patch panel port until it clicks or seats firmly. Avoid tight bends and kinks; maintain the recommended minimum bend radius to prevent increased attenuation. Secure excess cable length using cable management accessories to avoid strain on connectors and to keep airflow and rack access unobstructed.

Recommendations

For best results, use OM4 multimode transceivers and components matched to the cable type and keep connector end-faces clean. Perform optical loss testing after installation if link performance verification is required, and follow established cabling standards and site-specific policies for labeling and routing.
