InLine optický duplexní kabel SC/SC 50/125µm OM5 3m

The InLine Fiber Optical Duplex Cable SC/SC 50/125µm OM5 3m is a multimode duplex patch cable designed for high-bandwidth short-range links in data centers, network rooms and enterprise cabling. The cable uses 50/125 µm multimode fiber in OM5 specification and SC duplex connectors on both ends, offering full-duplex transmission over a 3 meter length. OM5 multimode fiber supports multiple wavelength operation for modern parallel optics and wavelength-division applications while maintaining low attenuation and consistent modal performance.

Advantages

This SC/SC OM5 duplex cable provides consistent multimode performance with a 50 µm core optimized for short-reach, high-speed links. The full-duplex SC connector pairing ensures simple, keyed connections and reliable insertion retention. The 3 m length offers installation flexibility without excessive slack, and the OM5 fiber enables support for shortwave wavelength multiplexing and advanced optical transceivers used in modern network equipment.

Suitable for

• Data center patch panels and top-of-rack connections
• Short-reach links between switches and servers using multimode optics
• High-bandwidth LAN and SAN uplinks with multimode transceivers
• Parallel optics and multi-wavelength short-distance applications

Key specifications

• Fiber type: OM5 multimode
• Core / cladding diameter: 50/125 µm
• Connector type: SC duplex on both ends
• Cable length: 3 m
• Polish/type: multimode duplex patch cable construction
• Mode: full duplex
• Typical applications: short-reach, high-bandwidth multimode links

How to use

Route the InLine SC/SC OM5 duplex cable between compatible SC ports on patch panels, switches or transceivers ensuring proper orientation of the duplex connectors. Avoid tight bends and secure the cable to prevent strain near the connectors. When connecting transceivers or equipment, verify transmitter and receiver alignment and follow equipment manufacturer guidelines for multimode OM5 fiber insertion loss and launch conditions. Inspect connector endfaces before installation and clean if necessary to maintain optimal optical performance.

Recommendations

Store and handle the cable in accordance with standard fiber optic practices: avoid bending beyond the minimum bend radius, protect connector endfaces with dust caps when not in use, and use appropriate cleaning tools for endface maintenance. For best results, pair with OM5-compatible transceivers and ensure patch panel ports are clearly labeled to maintain duplex polarity.
