InLine optický duplexní kabel SC/SC 50/125µm OM4 5 m

The InLine Fiber Optical Duplex Cable SC/SC 50/125µm OM4 5m is a multimode fiber cable designed for high-speed, short- to medium-range data transmission. With a 50 µm core and OM4 specification, this duplex cable supports full-duplex communication via SC connectors on both ends and is intended for use in data centers, server rooms, and structured cabling systems where reliable, low-loss multimode connectivity is required.

Advantages

This OM4 multimode duplex cable offers increased bandwidth and improved modal dispersion performance compared to lower graded multimode fibers, enabling higher data rates over typical multimode distances. The SC/SC connectors provide a push-pull coupling mechanism for stable mechanical connection and easy installation. At 5 meters length the cable provides flexibility in rack-to-rack or panel-to-equipment links while keeping insertion loss and return loss within expected multimode parameters.

Suitable for

• Short- to medium-distance multimode connections in data centers and server rooms
• Patching between optical distribution panels, switches and transceivers
• High-bandwidth applications such as 10GbE, 40GbE and other multimode-appropriate links
• Structured cabling installations requiring duplex SC termination

Key specifications

• Fiber type: Multimode OM4
• Core/cladding diameter: 50/125 µm
• Connector type: SC to SC duplex
• Length: 5 m
• Mode: Duplex (two fibers for full-duplex communication)
• Typical use: Indoor patching and equipment interconnects

How to use

Route the duplex fiber cable between the two devices or patch points to be connected, taking care to maintain the bend radius recommended for multimode fiber and to avoid tight bends or kinks. Align and insert the SC connectors into the corresponding SC ports until the push-pull latch engages. Ensure transmit and receive ports are correctly crossed if required by the equipment. Inspect connector endfaces and clean with appropriate fiber cleaning tools before final insertion to minimize insertion loss and ensure signal quality.

Recommendations

Store the cable in a dry, dust-free environment when not in use. Use dust caps to protect connectors and perform regular visual inspections and cleaning of connector endfaces. Avoid excessive tensile stress and sharp bends; follow manufacturer bend-radius guidelines for multimode fiber to maintain optical performance.
