InLine optický duplexní kabel LC/SC 9/125µm OS2 0,5m

The InLine Fiber optical duplex cable LC/SC 88656S 0.5m is a short patch cable designed for reliable duplex fibre connections. It uses OS2 single-mode fiber with a 9 µm core diameter and provides two LC connectors on one end and two SC connectors on the other, enabling full-duplex transmission over a 0.5 metre length. The cable is intended for indoor use in patch panels, switches, media converters and other structured cabling components that require single-mode LC-to-SC interconnection.

Advantages

This fiber optic duplex cable offers low attenuation and stable single-mode performance thanks to the OS2 fiber type and 9 µm core. The combination of LC and SC connectors simplifies integration between equipment with differing port interfaces while maintaining duplex data paths. The short 0.5 m length reduces excess cable slack in racks and patch panels and helps maintain tidy, efficient cabling runs.

Suitable for

• Connecting single-mode ports between switches, patch panels and transceivers
• Short patch runs in data centers, server rooms and telecom racks
• Media converters and optical devices requiring LC-to-SC duplex connections
• Test setups and equipment racks where minimal cable length is preferred

Key specifications

• Fiber type: OS2 single-mode
• Core diameter: 9 µm
• Connector configuration: 2x LC to 2x SC (duplex)
• Length: 0.5 m
• Polish/finish: standard single-mode optical polish
• Typical application: indoor patching, structured cabling

How to use

Inspect connectors for dust or debris before installation and use appropriate dust caps until connection. Align and insert the LC connectors into LC ports and the SC connectors into SC ports until they click or seat securely. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and excessive tension; maintain the manufacturer's recommended minimum bend radius for single-mode fiber. For best optical performance, perform a visual inspection or use fiber test equipment to verify insertion loss and continuity after installation.

Recommendations

Store and handle the cable in a clean environment, avoid contaminating connector endfaces, and use a fiber cleaning kit when necessary. For permanent or outdoor runs, select cables and routing appropriate for environmental conditions; this short 0.5 m patch cable is intended for indoor patching and rack-level connections.
