InfiniBand/optický kabel BlueOptics AXC7607-10000S-BO 7 m SFP+ samec/samec

The BlueOptics AXC7607-10000S-BO is a 7 m InfiniBand/fibre optic active optical cable with SFP+ male-to-male connectors designed for 10GBASE-SR applications. It contains integrated transmitter and receiver modules at each end and uses multimode fibre to deliver up to 10 Gbit/s over a 7 metre link. The cable follows MSA SFP+ form-factor conventions and is intended for direct connection between compatible SFP+ ports on switches, routers, storage systems and other networking equipment.

Advantages

This 7 m BlueOptics active optical cable offers optical data transmission that is immune to electromagnetic interference and reduces latency compared with equivalent copper connections. Integrated optics eliminate the need for separate transceivers and patch cords, simplifying installation and reducing insertion loss. The cable supports digital diagnostics (DDM/DOM) for real-time monitoring of parameters such as supply voltage, laser drive current, optical output/input power and temperature, enabling easier remote troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.

Key specifications

How to use

Plug the SFP+ connectors into compatible SFP+ ports on the devices to be linked, ensuring that the host hardware supports 10GBASE-SR AOC modules. No separate transceivers or patching is required; the cable provides a pre-assembled optical connection. If available, enable or query the DDM/DOM interface on the host system to monitor link parameters and verify correct operation. Follow standard hot-swap and electrostatic discharge precautions when handling and inserting SFP+ modules.

Recommendations

Verify device compatibility with SFP+ AOCs and confirm that the host firmware or software permits third-party AOCs if applicable. Avoid sharp bends and excessive tensile stress on the cable; store and route the cable according to optical-fibre handling best practices to maintain signal performance and lifetime.
