BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-10M-FR-BO Aqua 10m samec-samec optický kabel

The BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-10M-FR-BO Aqua 10m Male-Male Fibre Optic Cable is a 10‑meter active optical cable with SFP28 connectors on both ends, designed for 25G data transmissions over multi‑mode fiber. The pre‑assembled aqua cable integrates a transmitter and receiver in each connector to enable bidirectional optical signaling without separate transceivers, providing a plug‑and‑play connection for switches, routers and servers that accept SFP28 AOC modules. The cable follows SFP28 AOC MSA guidelines and supports high‑speed applications such as Ethernet and Fibre Channel over Ethernet at up to 25 Gbps over the 10 m link.

Advantages

The cable delivers an integrated optical link that reduces installation steps compared with patch‑cord plus transceiver setups and eliminates the need for optical cleaning or additional patching in the channel. Being an active optical cable with SFP28 connectors, it supports simultaneous send and receive operations and includes digital diagnostics monitoring (DDM/DOM) when supported by host hardware, enabling remote monitoring of supply voltage, laser bias current, transmit power, receive power and temperature. Manufactured to meet MSA mechanical and electrical specifications, the product is intended to provide consistent interoperability and long operational life in data center and enterprise networking environments.

Suitable for

• Interconnecting SFP28 ports in data center switches and leaf/spine architectures
• Short‑reach links between routers and servers within rack or adjacent racks
• High‑speed storage networking and Fibre Channel over Ethernet applications
• Environments requiring EMI‑immune links using multi‑mode fibre AOC

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP28 (male) to SFP28 (male)
• Cable length: 10 meters
• Optical type: Active optical cable (AOC) over multi‑mode fiber
• Supported data rate: up to 25 Gbps per link
• Form factor: SFP28 MSA compliant active cable
• Color: aqua (typical for multi‑mode OM3/OM4 assemblies)
• Digital diagnostics: DDM/DOM support when host hardware provides interface

How to use

Install the BlueOptics SFP28 AOC by inserting each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port of the devices to be linked until the module latches. Ensure both ends are fully seated and the host devices are powered and configured to enable the SFP28 port. If the host hardware supports digital diagnostics, verify availability of DDM/DOM readings via the management interface for monitoring link parameters. No separate transceivers or fiber patching are required; the pre‑assembled cable provides a direct optical connection.

Recommendations

Confirm compatibility with the target device’s SFP28 AOC policy and that the equipment supports 25G SFP28 modules. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical strain; observe the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius and handle the connectors by the housing to prevent contaminating the optical surfaces. Use DDM/DOM readings for remote diagnostics and plan links within the 10 m reach for optimal performance.
