BlueOptics SFP-25G-AOC3M-BO InfiniBand optický kabel 3 m SFP28 samec-samec

The BlueOptics SFP-25G-AOC3M-BO is a 3 m active optical cable (AOC) with SFP28 male connectors on both ends, designed for 25G multi-mode optical links. It implements the 25GBASE-SR4 protocol over a pre-assembled multi-mode fibre connection and includes integrated transmitter and receiver optics on each end. The cable is intended for short-reach, high-speed interconnects in data centre and high-performance computing environments where a direct SFP28-to-SFP28 link is required.

Advantages

The BlueOptics SFP-25G-AOC3M-BO provides a plug-and-play SFP28-to-SFP28 connection that eliminates the need for separate transceivers and patch cords, reducing insertion loss and simplifying installation. As an active optical cable, it is immune to electromagnetic interference and supports simultaneous transmit and receive optical channels. It also supports digital diagnostics monitoring (DDM/DOM) for real-time reporting of optical and electrical parameters when the host hardware supports these functions.

Suitable for

• Short-reach 25G interconnects between switches and routers
• Server-to-switch or switch-to-switch links in data centres
• High-performance computing clusters requiring low-latency optical links
• Storage systems and appliance connections that accept SFP28 AOCs

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP28 male to SFP28 male
• Length: 3 meters
• Data rate: up to 25 Gbit/s per cable (25GBASE-SR4 compatible)
• Optical medium: multi-mode fibre (integrated within AOC)
• Form factor: Active Optical Cable (pre-assembled, factory-terminated)
• Diagnostics: Digital Diagnostics Monitoring (DDM/DOM) compliant with MSA SFF-8472 (support depends on host hardware)

How to use

Install the BlueOptics SFP-25G-AOC3M-BO by inserting each SFP28 connector into the corresponding SFP28 port on the network devices until the connector latches. Ensure both devices support 25G SFP28 AOCs and, if required, enable or verify DDM/DOM support in the host system firmware to access diagnostics. No separate transceivers or fibre patching are needed; the pre-assembled cable is ready for immediate use.

Recommendations

Handle the cable by the connector housings and avoid tight bends or mechanical strain on the cable assembly. Verify compatibility with your hardware vendor’s supported transceivers/AOCs and ensure firmware or OS settings allow third-party AOC modules if applicable. For diagnostic access, confirm the host platform supports DDM/DOM to monitor optical power, temperature and supply voltage in real time.
