BlueOptics ET7402-AOC-5M-BO InfiniBand optický kabel QSFP28 5m samec/samec

The BlueOptics ET7402-AOC-5M-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable QSFP28 5m Male/Male is a 5‑meter active optical cable (AOC) with QSFP28 connectors on both ends, designed for high-speed links in data centers and high-performance computing environments. It uses multimode fibre with integrated transmitter and receiver modules at each end to support 100G-class short-reach protocols and to provide a direct QSFP28‑to‑QSFP28 connection that follows common MSA connector standards.

Advantages

This AOC delivers consistent signal integrity and reduced electromagnetic interference compared with copper alternatives, while offering compact, lightweight cabling for dense rack environments. The QSFP28 male‑to‑male configuration enables straightforward device-to-device connectivity without additional transceivers, and the 5 m length is suitable for typical rack-to-rack and within-rack interconnects. The integrated optical transceivers simplify installation and reduce points of failure associated with separate modules.

How to use

Install the BlueOptics ET7402-AOC-5M-BO by inserting each QSFP28 connector into the corresponding QSFP28 port on your network devices until the latch engages. Ensure devices are powered off or follow hot‑plug guidance from the device manufacturer if live installation is required. Verify port configuration and link status in your switch, router or host adapter software to confirm successful negotiation at the expected data rate.

Recommendations

Use this AOC for short‑reach connections within racks or between adjacent racks; avoid routing through areas where tight bends, crushing or excessive strain could damage the fibre. Confirm device compatibility with QSFP28 AOC modules and supported 100G short‑reach protocols before deployment. For best results, maintain proper slack and secure the cable to prevent stress on the connectors.
