How to use

Install the Cisco Catalyst C9200 on a standard equipment rack or approved shelf, connect uplinks via the modular uplink ports, and attach access devices to the 48 Gigabit RJ-45 ports. Configure basic management and security through Cisco IOS XE using the command-line interface, web-based management, or automation via open APIs. Enable PoE settings per port as needed for powered devices and configure stacking if multiple units are deployed for higher bandwidth and redundancy.

Recommendations

For optimal operation, keep Cisco IOS XE up to date, use redundant power supplies where available, apply recommended security configurations (802.1x, ACLs), and plan stacking and uplink capacity to match expected traffic patterns.
