Slotový plech Low Profile InLine 33208D s otvorem pro konektor DB9

The InLine Low Profile Slot Bracket 33208D provides a compact mounting solution for DB9 (9‑pin Sub‑D) male or female connectors, allowing installation on the backplane of an enclosure or server using an available PCI slot. Constructed from 0.8 mm SPCC steel with a nickel‑plated silver finish, the bracket is designed for low‑profile PC cases and tight enclosures while ensuring a stable connector fit and accessible external DB9 port.

Advantages

The low‑profile design enables installation in slim chassis where standard brackets would not fit. Its SPCC steel construction with nickel plating offers mechanical strength and corrosion resistance. The bracket accepts both male and female 9‑pin Sub‑D connectors, simplifying compatibility with existing DB9 cabling and devices.

Suitable for

• Mounting DB9 (9‑pin Sub‑D) male or female connectors in low‑profile PC cases
• Adding external serial ports to servers, embedded systems, or industrial enclosures
• DIY electronics projects and professional rackmount or small‑form‑factor systems

How to use

Position the bracket in a free PCI slot at the rear of the enclosure so the DB9 connector hole aligns with the slot opening. Secure the bracket to the chassis with the slot retaining screw. Mount the DB9 male or female Sub‑D connector into the bracket’s hole and fasten it according to the connector manufacturer’s instructions. Connect the internal cable or header to the device PCB or interface as required, then test the external port for correct operation.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, use the bracket in enclosures compatible with low‑profile PCI slots and ensure the connector is properly grounded to the chassis. Avoid overtightening mounting screws to prevent deformation of the 0.8 mm steel material.
