SFP28 AOC kabel BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-3M-PS-BO 3 m samec/samec

The BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-3M-PS-BO is a 3 m active optical cable with SFP28 connectors on both ends, designed for 25G data links in data center and networking environments. It uses integrated transmitter and receiver modules to send and receive optical signals over multimode fiber within a pre-assembled, plug-and-play AOC design. The cable is supplied in an aqua colour and weighs approximately 0.15 kg, providing a compact, low-profile connection between SFP28 ports without the need for separate transceivers or patch cords.

Advantages

This SFP28 active optical cable supports 25G data transmission rates and follows MSA-aligned SFP28 AOC mechanical and electrical interfaces for broad interoperability with compatible networking hardware. The integrated optical transceivers reduce installation steps and eliminate field-terminated fiber handling. The pre-assembled multimode optical link reduces susceptibility to electromagnetic interference and simplifies cabling management in dense rack environments. Digital diagnostics capability is supported where host hardware exposes DDM/DOM information for real-time monitoring of optical parameters.

Suitable for

• High-speed switch-to-switch or switch-to-server connections within racks or across adjacent racks
• Storage systems and SAN links using SFP28 ports at 25G
• Data center top-of-rack and aggregation connections requiring short-reach optical links

Key specifications

• Cable length: 3 m
• Connector type: SFP28 to SFP28
• Supported data rate: up to 25 Gbps
• Optical medium: multimode fiber (pre-assembled active optical cable)
• Colour: aqua
• Weight: approx. 0.15 kg

How to use

Power down or follow hot-swap guidelines of your hardware vendor, then insert the SFP28 connector plugs into the corresponding SFP28 ports until they latch. Ensure both ends are fully seated and that the host devices are configured for 25G operation if required by firmware or software settings. If the host supports digital diagnostics (DDM/DOM), enable or query the interface through the management system to monitor supply voltage, optical power and temperature readings. Do not bend the cable beyond recommended bend radii for fiber optics and avoid excessive pulling force during installation.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, use the BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-3M-PS-BO in environments that match multimode short-reach applications, verify host compatibility with SFP28 AOC modules, and consult your equipment vendor for firmware or compatibility notes. Handle the cable by the connector housings and keep connector ferrules and port interfaces free of contaminants.
