Satelitní multiswitch Megasat 5/16

The Megasat 5/16 satellite multiswitch distributes signals from up to five satellite inputs and an antenna input to sixteen receiver outputs. It supports a wide input voltage range (90–260 V) and standard mains frequency (47–63 Hz). The compact device (230 mm × 50 mm × 135 mm) is designed to combine signals from Quattro/Quad LNB setups and forward them to multiple receivers with low attenuation and high isolation to preserve picture and sound quality over long cable runs.

Advantages

The Megasat 5/16 offers 6 inputs and 16 outputs in a compact housing, compatible with Quad and Quattro LNBs to allow easy integration into existing satellite installations. Its design minimizes signal loss and maximizes decoupling between outputs, which helps maintain stable reception and audio/video quality even when cable runs are long. The device operates across a wide mains voltage range and is suitable for multi-receiver environments.

Key specifications

How to use

Connect one LNB per satellite to the corresponding satellite inputs and, if required, connect the terrestrial antenna to the antenna input. Ensure the LNBs support Quad or Quattro output as appropriate for the installation. Route coaxial cables from the multiswitch outputs to each receiver, taking care to use good-quality coax and maintain secure fittings. Power the unit from a mains supply within the specified 90–260 V range. After connections are complete, scan for channels on each receiver to confirm signal reception.

Recommendations

Use screened, low-loss coaxial cable and reliable F-type connectors to minimize signal degradation. When installing across long cable runs, check signal levels at the receivers and consider using line amplifiers or higher-grade cables if required. Verify compatibility of connected LNBs (Quad or Quattro) before installation.
