Rozšiřující karta Inter-Tech K104A

The Interface Card Inter-Tech K104A is an external adapter for connecting 2.5" SATA hard drives via a SATA data/power interface to a USB 3.0 Type-A port. It features a black finish and supports a maximum theoretical data transfer rate of 5 Gbit/s. The adapter is compatible with mainstream operating systems including Windows XP through Windows 10, Linux (Kernel 2.4 and later) and macOS 10.4 and above. Packaged in a polybag, the K104A is designed for simple plug-and-play use with 2.5" SATA HDDs and SSDs.

Advantages

The Inter-Tech K104A offers a compact and lightweight solution for accessing 2.5" SATA drives without installing them internally. Its USB 3.0 interface provides high-speed data transfer up to 5 Gbit/s when connected to a compatible host. The adapter's broad OS compatibility ensures it works across Windows, Linux and macOS systems. Its black colour and simple polybag packaging make it a practical and unobtrusive accessory for technicians and home users.

How to use

Connect the adapter's SATA data and power connector to a 2.5" SATA HDD or SSD. Plug the USB 3.0 Type-A connector into a computer USB port that supports USB 3.0 for best performance (backward compatible with USB 2.0 at lower speeds). The operating system should detect the drive automatically; if necessary, install any required drivers per your OS. Safely eject the drive from the host system before disconnecting.

Recommendations

Use the Inter-Tech K104A with 2.5" SATA drives only; it does not provide a separate power supply for 3.5" drives. For optimal transfer speeds, connect to a USB 3.0 port on the host and avoid heavy write operations on unstable power. Always perform safe removal in the OS to prevent data loss.
