Qoltec 54450 optický konektor LC multi-mode béžový stříbrný

The Qoltec 54450 fibre optic connector is a multi-mode LC connector with a beige housing and silver ferrule, supplied in a pack of 200 pieces with a total weight of 271 g. Designed for connecting multi-mode optical fibers, this LC connector provides a compact interface suitable for high-density patching panels and equipment. The connector's ferrule is made to accommodate the multi-mode fibre endface and to ensure stable optical coupling with minimal attenuation.

Advantages

The LC format offers a small footprint that is advantageous in crowded racks and high-density switch fields. Its latch-style locking mechanism prevents accidental disconnection and ensures reliable mechanical retention. Multi-mode design supports short to medium distance data transmission typical for LAN and data centre environments. The beige and silver colour coding helps with quick visual identification and organized cabling.

Suitable for

• Local area networks (LAN) and data centre patch panels
• Fiber-to-the-desktop and intra-building links
• Telecommunication and cable TV distribution points
• Measurement and testing setups using multi-mode fibre

Key specifications

• Connector type: LC multi-mode
• Pack quantity: 200 pieces
• Housing colour: beige
• Ferrule/finish colour: silver
• Weight (pack): 271 g
• Locking mechanism: latch-style
• Intended fibre type: multi-mode

How to use

Prepare the multi-mode fiber according to standard termination and cleaning procedures, ensuring the endface is properly cleaved and free of contamination. Align the fiber end within the connector ferrule and complete the termination process following the manufacturer's recommended assembly steps for LC connectors. After termination, insert the connector into the appropriate LC adapter or port until the latch engages and verify optical continuity and attenuation with suitable test equipment.

Recommendations

Handle ferrules and connector endfaces with care to avoid contamination. Use appropriate fiber cleaning tools before mating connectors and perform insertion loss and return loss measurements after installation. Store unused connectors in a clean, dry environment and follow industry standards for multi-mode fiber cabling to achieve expected performance.
