SilverStone Grandia GD09 – HTPC skříň, USB 3.0, černý (SST-GD09B)

The Silverstone Grandia GD09 Desktop Black is a compact desktop PC case engineered for efficient use of interior space while accommodating standard full-size components. Finished in black and built from steel, plastic and aluminium, the chassis supports Micro ATX and ATX motherboards and is sized to accept wider ATX boards used in gaming systems. The design inherits thermal and airflow principles from SilverStone’s Grandia family, includes tool-friendly drive cages, and provides two 120 mm side fans preinstalled to assist active cooling.

Advantages

The GD09 offers a balance between a compact external footprint and internal capacity, allowing installation of full-size standard components including wider ATX motherboards. It features flexible drive cage arrangements that mirror proven SilverStone layouts for easy configuration without extra adapters. Airflow is optimised through positive-pressure design and accessible dust filters, and front-panel connectivity includes two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports for modern peripherals. The case is lightweight at approximately 4.2 kg, simplifying placement in home or office setups.

Suitable for

• Home theatre PC (HTPC) builds where a compact, low-profile case is required
• Compact gaming systems using wider ATX motherboards
• Office or productivity desktops with Micro ATX or ATX motherboards
• Systems that require flexible drive configurations without additional adapters

How to use

Install a compatible Micro ATX or ATX motherboard inside the chassis following standard standoff and screw procedures, taking advantage of the flexible drive cages to position HDDs or SSDs as needed. Connect the preinstalled side fans to the motherboard fan headers or a fan controller to manage airflow. Use the single 5.25" bay if an optical drive or front panel device is required. Route cables along the case interior to maintain smooth airflow and ensure dust filters are seated correctly before operating the system.

Recommendations

For optimal cooling, maintain positive airflow by configuring intake through the side fans and restricting obstructive cables. Regularly clean accessible dust filters and avoid blocking side ventilation. When installing wider ATX gaming motherboards, verify clearance for CPU coolers and expansion cards, and consider low-profile or slim drives if space constraints occur.
