Optický kabel Helos 10 m OM3 LC/SC

The Helos 10m OM3 LC/SC fibre optic cable is a multimode patch cable intended for high-speed data transmission in structured networks. It uses OM3-grade multimode fibre with a 50 µm core diameter and LC-to-SC connectors to provide reliable full-duplex links between switches, patch panels, servers and active equipment. The 10 meter length balances reach and flexibility for rack-to-rack or equipment-to-patch-panel connections while maintaining signal integrity for typical data centre and enterprise environments.

Advantages

This cable combines OM3 multimode performance with commonly used LC and SC connector types, enabling broad compatibility with existing network hardware. The 50 µm core supports high bandwidth and is suitable for short to medium reach applications typical in data centres. The fixed 10 m length simplifies planning for standard interconnect runs, and the duplex construction allows simultaneous transmit and receive channels for full-duplex operation. The plug-style connectors facilitate quick termination-free installation.

Suitable for

• Data centre patching between racks and switches
• Connecting servers and storage arrays to network equipment
• LAN backbone links and intra-building multimode runs
• Patch panel to transceiver connections (LC to SC compatibility)

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM3 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector A: LC (duplex)
• Connector B: SC (duplex)
• Length: 10 m
• Mode: Multimode, duplex

How to use

Identify the LC and SC ports on your equipment or patch panels and align the connectors with the port keying before insertion. Insert the LC connector into the LC port and the SC connector into the SC port until each locks in place; for duplex operation, ensure the transmit and receive fibers are correctly matched. Avoid sharp bends and secure the cable with appropriate cable management to maintain minimum bend radius. When disconnecting, depress the connector latch and pull straight out to avoid damaging the ferrule.

Recommendations

Store and handle the cable with care to prevent contamination of connector endfaces. Use a fibre inspection scope and clean connectors with appropriate cleaning tools if signal loss or errors are observed. Maintain bend radius guidelines and protect the cable from tight routing or crush hazards to preserve performance over time.
