Nespravovaný switch Trendnet TEG-S380

The TRENDnet Unmanaged Switch TEG-S380 is an 8-port network switch designed to expand wired network bandwidth using existing Cat5e or better cabling. This compact, wall-mountable unit features a sturdy metal housing and fanless design, and supports 2.5GBASE-T RJ-45 connectivity for higher-than-gigabit throughput. LED indicators on the front panel provide port status at a glance, while Jumbo Frame support (up to 12KB) helps improve performance for large-packet traffic.

Advantages

The TEG-S380 delivers increased throughput by supporting 2.5Gbps speeds over Cat5e or better cabling without requiring configuration. Its metal enclosure and wall-mountable design offer flexible installation options, while the fanless operation reduces power consumption and eliminates operational noise. Built-in LED indicators and Jumbo Frame support simplify monitoring and improve handling of large packets.

Suitable for

• Small office or home office networks needing higher-than-gigabit wired speeds
• Network edge deployments where silent, fanless operation is preferred
• Environments using existing Cat5e cabling seeking a cost-effective throughput upgrade
• Setups requiring simple, unmanaged switching with easy wall mounting

How to use

Place or mount the switch on a wall using the integrated mounting points, then connect your devices using Cat5e or better Ethernet cables. Attach the power adapter to the DC input and power on the unit. The switch is unmanaged and requires no software configuration—connected devices will negotiate the highest supported speed automatically. Use the front-panel LEDs to verify link and activity status for each port.

Recommendations

Install the switch in a well-ventilated indoor location away from direct heat sources. To achieve 2.5Gbps performance, use Cat5e or higher cabling and ensure connected devices support multi-gig speeds. For permanent installations, secure the unit to a solid wall and route cables to avoid strain on the RJ-45 ports.
