Nespravovaný switch PLANET IGS-504HPT

The PLANET IGS-504HPT is an unmanaged industrial Gigabit Ethernet PoE+ switch designed for harsh environments. It provides four 10/100/1000BASE-T ports with IEEE 802.3at PoE+ and one additional Gigabit RJ45 uplink port. Built in an IP40 metal housing, the switch accepts 12–56V DC input with dual-redundant, reversible polarity power inputs, delivers a total PoE power budget up to 120 W and operates over a wide temperature range from -40 to 75 °C.

Advantages

The IGS-504HPT supports full PoE+ (up to 36 W per port) with plug-and-play operation, eliminating the need for software configuration. Its power-boost capability and wide 12–56V DC input range allow use with common industrial power sources without special supplies. The front-panel PoE power usage LEDs provide real-time indication of aggregated PoE consumption (30W, 60W, 90W, 120W). The ventilated IP40 metal enclosure provides EMI immunity and passive cooling for noiseless operation, while ESD and surge protection enhance network stability.

Suitable for

• Industrial Ethernet deployments in factories and plants
• Traffic control cabinets and roadside network equipment
• IP cameras, access points and other PoE PDs requiring up to 36 W per port
• Wall-mounted or DIN-rail installations in space-limited locations

How to use

Install the IGS-504HPT on a DIN rail or mount it on a wall in the desired location. Connect the DC power sources to the dual power input terminals, observing polarity though reversible inputs allow flexibility. Attach PoE devices to any of the four PoE-enabled Gigabit ports and use the uplink RJ45 port for network connection. The device is unmanaged and requires no configuration; PoE power is supplied automatically according to PD negotiation and available budget. Monitor the front-panel PoE Power Usage LEDs to check aggregated power consumption.

Recommendations

For reliable operation in industrial settings, use appropriate DC power feeds within the 12–56V range and provide proper surge protection at the power source. When deploying multiple PoE devices, ensure the total power requirement does not exceed the 120 W budget; consider PLANET PoE extenders to reach PDs beyond 100 m while planning cable runs and device placement.
