Lisovací matrice Knipex 97 49 18

The Knipex 97 49 18 crimping die is an interchangeable die designed for use with compatible Knipex crimping tools, notably the 97 43 series. It provides a compact, lightweight solution for creating consistent crimped electrical connections. With a durable finish and precise die geometry, this accessory supports repeatable results in cable and connector assembly tasks where firm mechanical and electrical contact is required.

Advantages

The die offers precise alignment and consistent crimp profiles to help ensure reliable mechanical stability and low electrical resistance. Its lightweight construction reduces fatigue when changing or carrying multiple dies on-site. The robust material and coating increase resistance to wear and environmental impact, contributing to long-term use and predictable performance.

Suitable for

• Crimping insulated and non-insulated terminals in electrical installations
• Network cable termination and connector assembly
• Field service and maintenance tasks where a compact, replaceable die is required
• Workshop or production environments performing repetitive crimping operations

Key specifications

• Product type: Crimping die
• Compatibility: Designed for use with Knipex 97 43 series crimping tools
• Weight: 0.048 kg (approx.)
• Colour: Black finish
• Construction: Hardened metal for wear resistance

How to use

Fit the Knipex 97 49 18 die into the matching Knipex crimping tool following the tool manufacturer’s instructions, ensuring the die seats securely and aligns with the tool’s retention mechanism. Position the connector and conductor in the die cavity, then operate the crimping tool to achieve the specified crimp. Inspect the crimp visually and, if required, test electrically to confirm low resistance and mechanical integrity. Replace the die if signs of wear affect crimp quality.

Recommendations

Use the die only with compatible Knipex tools and within the connector and conductor sizes recommended by the tool manufacturer. Keep the die clean and free of debris, and store in a dry environment to minimize corrosion. Perform periodic inspections and replace the die when flattening, chipping, or deformation is visible to maintain consistent crimp results.
