Kabelový gender changer ShiverPeaks BS57080

The ShiverPeaks BS57080 Cable Gender Changer is a compact adapter that converts a single 3.5 mm connection into two 3.5 mm outputs. Designed for audio and video cable applications, this black adapter features nickel-plated contacts that provide reliable electrical conductivity and resistance to corrosion. Its compact form factor and neutral color make it compatible with a wide range of headphones, speakers, mobile devices and audio equipment where a split or gender conversion is required.

Advantages

The nickel-plated contacts ensure consistent signal transmission and improved durability compared with non-plated connectors. The simple, single-piece design minimizes signal loss and mechanical weakness points. Its neutral black finish integrates unobtrusively with common audio setups and portable devices. The adapter is lightweight and portable, allowing easy transport and quick installation without tools.

Suitable for

• Splitting or converting a single 3.5 mm audio jack to two 3.5 mm connectors for headphones or auxiliary inputs
• Connecting two sets of wired headphones to one audio source for shared listening
• Adapting cable gender where a device requires a different connector orientation
• Temporary or portable audio setups in classrooms, travel, or small meetings

Key specifications

• Connector type: 3.5 mm to 2 × 3.5 mm
• Contact plating: Nickel-plated contacts for conductivity and corrosion resistance
• Colour: Black
• Application: Audio signal transmission for headphones, speakers and auxiliary devices
• Form factor: Compact inline adapter suitable for portable use

How to use

Insert the single 3.5 mm male end of the adapter into the source device's 3.5 mm output. Connect one or two 3.5 mm plugs from headphones, speakers or auxiliary cables into the adapter's dual 3.5 mm sockets. Ensure plugs are fully seated to maintain optimal contact. Remove the adapter by gently pulling it from the source jack when finished; avoid twisting or excessive force to protect both the adapter and the device's jack.

Recommendations

For best performance, use short, high-quality patch cables and avoid subjecting the adapter to repeated heavy bending or tension. Remove debris from connectors and store the adapter in a dry place to reduce corrosion risk. Note that using two headphones from one output may reduce volume per listener depending on the source device's output power.
