Kabelový gender changer ShiverPeaks BS57044

The ShiverPeaks BS57044 cable gender changer is an adapter designed to connect devices that use three-channel RCA component video (YPbPr) to equipment with corresponding RCA inputs. It features 3 x RCA (YPbPr) on one side and 3 x RCA on the other, with nickel-plated contacts for improved conductivity and corrosion resistance. The adapter's black and silver housing provides a compact and unobtrusive solution for integrating legacy video sources and displays or AV receivers in home and professional setups.

Advantages

This gender changer provides reliable signal transfer for component video connections thanks to nickel-plated contacts that reduce signal loss and resist oxidation. Its compact form factor makes it easy to fit within crowded AV racks or behind entertainment units, and the neutral black and silver finish blends with most audio/video equipment. The straightforward passive design requires no power or configuration, allowing immediate use when connecting compatible RCA-equipped devices.

Suitable for

• Connecting a device with 3 x RCA (YPbPr) outputs to a display or receiver with 3 x RCA inputs
• Integrating DVD players, set-top boxes or older game consoles into modern AV systems
• Temporary or permanent AV installations where gender adaptation of RCA connectors is required

Key specifications

• Connector A: 3 x RCA (YPbPr)
• Connector B: 3 x RCA
• Contact plating: Nickel
• Colour: Black, Silver
• Type: Passive gender changer / adapter

How to use

Identify the RCA component video outputs (YPbPr) on the source device and the corresponding RCA inputs on the display or receiver. Insert the adapter so that each colour-coded RCA plug aligns with the matching input (typically green, blue and red). Once connected, ensure cables are seated firmly to maintain good contact. No additional configuration or power is required; verify the display or receiver input selection to confirm signal routing.

Recommendations

Use the adapter with cables and devices that support component video signals; avoid applying excessive force when connecting or disconnecting to prevent damage to connector shells. For best results, pair the adapter with good-quality RCA cables and keep connections free of dust and moisture.
