Inline spojka RJ-45 stíněná CAT6A ACT SD6518

The ACT Inline Coupler RJ-45 shielded CAT6A (SD6518) is a compact inline adapter with two RJ45 connectors in a steel-coloured shielded housing. It is built to maintain signal integrity in CAT6A networks and to provide a simple, tool-free connection point for extending or joining Ethernet cables. The metallic body offers additional mechanical protection and contributes to shielding against electromagnetic interference, suitable for installations that require consistent high-speed data transmission.

Advantages

This inline coupler supports CAT6A performance levels, enabling higher bandwidth and improved resistance to crosstalk compared with earlier categories. The shielded construction reduces susceptibility to external electromagnetic interference and helps preserve signal quality in environments with nearby electrical equipment. Its two RJ45 ports allow quick and straightforward cable joining without special tools, and the compact, durable design offers reliable mechanical protection for frequent or semi-permanent connections.

Suitable for

• Extending Ethernet runs by joining two RJ45 cables
• Temporary or semi-permanent network connections in offices and homes
• Environments with increased electromagnetic interference where shielding is required
• Upgrading existing Cat5e/Cat6 setups to support Cat6A cable links

Key specifications

• Connectors: RJ45 to RJ45
• Category support: CAT6A performance
• Shielding: Metal-shielded housing for EMI protection
• Color: Steel (metallic finish)
• Usage: Inline coupler for Ethernet cable joining

How to use

Align the RJ45 plug of each Ethernet cable with the coupler ports and insert until the connector latches engage. Ensure the cable pairs are terminated correctly at the original connectors to maintain twisted pair integrity through the coupler. After insertion, verify link lights on connected devices or use a network tester to confirm continuity and performance. For best results, avoid sharply bending cables near the connection point and ensure the coupler is placed in a location with minimal mechanical stress.

Recommendations

Use shielded Ethernet cables and ensure proper grounding in installations where EMI is a concern. For permanent installations or where maximum performance is critical, consider using a single continuous CAT6A cable run rather than multiple coupler joints to minimize potential signal loss.
