InLine optický duplexní kabel SC/ST 50/125µm OM3 2 m

The InLine Fiber Optical Duplex Cable SC/ST 50/125µm OM3 2m is a multimode duplex fiber cable designed for high-speed short-range links. With a 50/125 µm core/cladding structure and OM3 grading, this 2-meter cable supports full duplex transmission via two fiber strands and provides compatibility between SC and ST connector types. The cable is intended for use in network environments where reliable multimode fiber connections are required, such as server rooms, switch interconnects, and patch panels.

Advantages

This fiber patch cable combines OM3-rated multimode performance with a compact duplex design to deliver low attenuation and consistent signal integrity over short distances. The presence of SC and ST connectors on the duplex assembly enables flexible connection options to equipment with either connector standard. The 2 m length reduces excess slack in constrained installations while maintaining ease of routing and handling. The cable construction is intended to resist typical handling stresses encountered in data center and LAN patching scenarios.

Suitable for

• Short-range multimode links in data centers and server rooms
• Interconnecting switches, patch panels and transceivers with SC or ST ports
• Fiber backbone segments and horizontal distribution within buildings
• Testing and temporary link setups where OM3 performance is required

Key specifications

• Fiber type: Multimode (OM3)
• Core/cladding diameter: 50/125 µm
• Configuration: Duplex (2 fibers)
• Connector types: SC on one end, ST on the other end (2 of each)
• Length: 2 meters
• Typical use: Short-range high-speed multimode links

How to use

Inspect connector endfaces for cleanliness before installation and, if necessary, clean with an appropriate fiber cleaning tool. Route the 2 m duplex cable between the required SC and ST ports, ensuring gentle bends and avoiding tight radii that could stress the fiber. Insert SC connectors into SC adapters or ports by aligning the keyed ferrule and pushing until it latches. Insert ST connectors by aligning the bayonet ferrule, pushing in and twisting to lock. Verify link continuity and optical loss with suitable test equipment after installation.

Recommendations

Store and handle the cable to avoid sharp bends and excessive pulling force. Use dust caps on connectors when ports are not in use to prevent contamination. For links requiring longer reach or singlemode operation, select an appropriate cable type and connector pairing.
