InfiniBand/optický kabel HPE R0M46A 0,65 m

The HPE R0M46A 0.65 m InfiniBand/fibre optic cable is a short-length, high-speed interconnect designed for low-latency data transmission in rack and cabinet environments. Fitted with SFP56 connectors on both ends, this cable supports high-bandwidth links between switches, host adapters and storage nodes. Its compact 0.65 m length reduces signal loss and cable clutter while maintaining reliable optical performance for data center and high-performance computing installations.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable provides a stable, low-latency connection with SFP56 compatibility to support enhanced throughput. The short 0.65 m length minimizes insertion loss and helps keep cable management tidy in dense rack layouts. The construction is engineered for consistent optical performance and reliability, making it suitable for environments that require predictable network behavior and reduced transmission errors.

Suitable for

• Short, high-bandwidth links between InfiniBand or Fibre Channel switches and HBA/SFP56 ports
• Point-to-point connections inside racks or between adjacent chassis
• High-performance computing clusters and scale-out storage interconnects

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP56 on both ends
• Cable length: 0.65 m
• Transmission medium: optical fibre for low-latency, high-bandwidth links
• Intended use: short-reach data centre interconnects
• Compatibility: designed for use with HP Enterprise networking and compute equipment supporting SFP56

How to use

Install the cable by inserting each SFP56 connector into the compatible SFP56 port until the connector latches. Ensure both devices are powered down or follow hot-swap guidance provided by the equipment vendor before insertion or removal. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends or kinks; maintain the minimum bend radius recommended for optical fibre to preserve signal integrity. After connecting, verify link status and negotiate the correct speed and mode on the connected devices using their management interfaces.

Recommendations

Use this 0.65 m fibre optic cable where short, direct connections are required to reduce latency and simplify cable management. Avoid excessive bending, pulling, or exposure to compressive forces. Store and handle connectors with protective caps when not in use to prevent contamination and maintain optical performance.
