InfiniBand/optický kabel BlueOptics WV-CABLE-DA-SFP-3-BL 3 m SFP+ samec/samec

The BlueOptics WV-CABLE-DA-SFP-3-BL is a 3 m InfiniBand/fibre optic direct attach cable with SFP+ male connectors on both ends. Designed for short-range, high-speed links in racks and between adjacent racks, the cable supports passive 10GBase-CR twinax connections using 30 AWG conductors and follows SFP+ MSA physical and electrical conventions. It is intended for environments that require reliable 10 Gbit/s data transmission such as data centers, server rooms and enterprise networking installations.

Advantages

This 3 m SFP+ male-to-male direct attach cable provides a low-latency, low-power connection for short-distance links. As a passive twinax solution it does not require external power or active components in the cable itself, reducing failure points and simplifying installation. The construction uses industry-standard components and MSA-compliant interfaces to ensure interoperability with hardware that supports SFP+ passive DACs.

How to use

Install the BlueOptics WV-CABLE-DA-SFP-3-BL by inserting each SFP+ plug into the SFP+ port on the respective devices until the retention latch engages. Use this cable for direct electrical connections where devices explicitly support passive SFP+ DACs. Ensure devices are powered down or follow hot-swap procedures recommended by the hardware vendor when inserting or removing SFP+ modules to avoid port damage. Verify link status and negotiated speed in the device management interface after installation.

Recommendations

Use this passive SFP+ twinax cable for short, high-bandwidth links inside racks or between adjacent racks. Confirm that both connected devices support passive 10GBase-CR SFP+ DACs and check firmware or vendor compatibility lists if required. Avoid bending the cable beyond manufacturer bend-radius guidance and route it to minimize mechanical stress and electromagnetic interference.
