InfiniBand/optický kabel BlueOptics BO353503J20M-BO 20 m SFP+ samec/samec

The BlueOptics BO353503J20M-BO is a 20 m InfiniBand/fibre optic Active Optical Cable (AOC) with SFP+ male connectors on both ends, engineered for high-speed 10G links in data centers and networking environments. It supports 10GBASE-SR transmission over multimode fiber and provides a pre-assembled optical connection that reduces installation complexity and attenuation compared with patchcord assemblies. The cable includes transceiver electronics at both ends and follows MSA-compliant SFP+ form-factor specifications for broad interoperability.

Advantages

The 20 m AOC delivers low-latency 10 Gbps data transfer while being immune to electromagnetic interference, making it suitable for dense rack-to-rack and switch-to-switch interconnects. Built with quality optical transmitters and receivers, it offers consistent signal integrity and supports Digital Diagnostics Monitoring (DDM/DOM) for real-time parameters such as supply voltage, laser bias current, output power, received power and temperature. As a pre-terminated solution, it eliminates the need for field polishing or patchcord cleaning and reduces points of failure in fibre links.

How to use

Install the AOC by inserting each SFP+ connector into compatible SFP+ ports on network switches, routers, storage systems or host adapters. Ensure devices support SFP+ modules and that ports are powered down or follow hot-plug procedures recommended by the hardware vendor. Verify link status and DDM/DOM data through the host system management interface to confirm proper operation and to view diagnostic parameters.

Recommendations

Ensure both connected devices officially support SFP+ AOCs and that their firmware or driver settings allow third-party AOC modules. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and mechanical strain; maintain minimum bend radius for multimode AOCs and secure the cable to avoid stress at connector interfaces. If DDM/DOM monitoring is required, confirm the host supports SFF-8472 to access real-time diagnostic values.
