Frézka DeWALT D26204K

The DeWALT D26204K router is a compact, lightweight plunge and fixed-base router powered by a 900 W motor with variable speed from 16,000 to 27,000 RPM. It accepts 6 mm and 8 mm collets and includes both plunge and fixed bases, making it suitable for a range of woodworking, aluminium and plastic routing tasks. The aluminium motor housing allows quick conversion between bases, and the tool weighs approximately 2.9 kg for comfortable handling.

Advantages

Full-wave electronic speed control with feedback maintains the selected RPM under load for consistent finishes across timber, aluminium and plastics. The variable speed range allows optimization of router bits for different materials and applications. A compact, lightweight design improves ease of use and reduces operator fatigue. The plunge base features a fine-tune rod for precise depth adjustment and a five-position turret for stepped or repeat plunge cuts. Overmoulded rubber handles provide a secure grip, dual LEDs improve visibility around the bit, and multiple spindle lock detents make bit changes quick and simple. Supplied accessories include parallel fences, dust extraction adapters, 8 mm collet, 17 mm spanner, centring cone and a tough kit box.

Suitable for

• Edge profiling and moulding in timber
• Plunge routing for grooves, dadoes and mortises
• Trimming laminates and plastics
• Light to medium routing tasks in aluminium
• Template work and repeatable plunge operations

• Power: 900 W
• Speed range: 16,000–27,000 RPM (electronic speed control with feedback)
• Collet capacity: 6 mm and 8 mm (5/16")
• Weight: approx. 2.9 kg

How to use

Choose the appropriate collet (6 mm or 8 mm) and fit the correct router bit, using the spindle lock detents and supplied 17 mm spanner to secure the bit. Select plunge or fixed base as required by your task; convert the aluminium motor housing between bases for quick setup. Set the desired speed within the 16,000–27,000 RPM range to match the material and bit diameter, then use the plunge base fine-tune rod and five-position turret to adjust and limit cutting depth for precise, repeatable cuts. Use the overmoulded handles to maintain a secure grip and the dual LEDs to keep the cut area visible during operation.

Recommendations

Use lower speeds for larger-diameter bits and aluminium or plastic work, and higher speeds for smaller bits and hardwoods. Always secure workpieces, use appropriate personal protective equipment, and connect a dust extraction adapter when routing dust-producing materials.
