The Satechi Aluminum Multi-Port Adapter V2 (Laptop Dock Satechi ST-TCMA2S) expands a single USB-C port into HDMI, RJ-45 (Gigabit Ethernet), USB-A ports, MicroSD and SD card slots, and a USB-C pass-through charging port. The compact silver aluminum body measures approximately 104.9 mm x 51 mm x 16 mm and connects via USB 3.2 Gen 1 (Type-C) to provide stable data transfer and reliable peripheral access.

Advantages

The improved V2 model includes a refined aluminum design and an upgraded Micro SD card slot that provides an audible click when a card is fully inserted to ensure consistent connection. Pass-through USB-C charging supports up to 60W, allowing the host device to be charged while using the adapter. 4K HDMI output supports up to 4K @ 30Hz via direct HDMI-to-HDMI connection, and the built-in Gigabit Ethernet port enables stable wired networking.

Suitable for

• Connecting an external monitor via HDMI (up to 4K @ 30Hz)
• Accessing wired networks through Gigabit Ethernet (RJ-45)
• Reading MicroSD and SD cards for photo and file transfer
• Expanding USB connectivity with USB-A ports for peripherals
• Charging a laptop or device via USB-C pass-through (up to 60W)

How to use

Connect the adapter to your laptop or compatible host via the USB-C connector. For an external display, attach an HDMI cable directly between the adapter and the monitor using an HDMI-to-HDMI connection; use an HDMI 2.0 cable for best results. Insert MicroSD or SD cards into their respective slots until you hear the click on the MicroSD slot to confirm proper seating. Plug an Ethernet cable into the RJ-45 port for wired network access. If you need to charge the host device while using the adapter, connect a USB-C power source to the pass-through charging port (maximum 60W).

Recommendations

Use high-quality HDMI 2.0 cables for optimal 4K performance and ensure direct HDMI-to-HDMI connections. When inserting the MicroSD card, wait for the audible click to confirm full insertion. To maintain stable operation, avoid exposing the adapter to temperatures outside the stated operating range.
