Brúsný kotouč Metabo 631587000

The Metabo 631587000 sanding disc is designed for efficient grinding and sanding of a variety of materials including polyester, stainless steel, steel and wood. With a diameter of 12.5 cm and a hook-and-loop backing compatible with common random orbital and rotary sanders, this red sanding disc provides consistent material removal and surface finishing for both professional and DIY tasks.

Advantages

The sanding disc combines durability and consistent abrasive performance to deliver even sanding results across different substrates. Its 12.5 cm diameter offers a balance between coverage and control, while the color-coded red backing makes it easy to identify among other abrasive grades. The disc is suitable for repeated use on metal and wood where uniform scratch patterns and controlled stock removal are required.

Suitable for

• Sanding and finishing polyester body filler and gelcoat
• Surface preparation and rust removal on stainless steel and steel
• Smoothing and shaping wood surfaces prior to painting or varnishing
• General-purpose abrasive tasks in workshops and construction sites

Key specifications

• Diameter: 12.5 cm (approx. 5 inches)
• Material compatibility: polyester, stainless steel, steel, wood
• Mounting type: hook-and-loop backing for quick attachment and replacement
• Color: red (for easy identification)
• Intended use: sanding and grinding for surface preparation and finishing

How to use

Attach the sanding disc to a compatible sander with a matching hook-and-loop pad, ensuring the disc is centered and firmly pressed to avoid imbalance. Begin sanding with light to moderate pressure and move the sander across the surface in overlapping passes to achieve an even finish. For metal work, use progressively finer abrasive grades to reduce visible scratches; for wood, follow with finer grit to prepare for coatings. Replace the disc when abrasive performance declines or when clogging affects the finish.

Recommendations

Use appropriate personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, dust mask and hearing protection. For metal applications, consider using coolant or intermittent sanding to reduce heat build-up. Store discs flat in a dry environment to preserve adhesive backing and abrasive life.
