BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-15M-VA-BO InfiniBand optický kabel 15m samec/samec

The BlueOptics SFP28-AOC-15M-VA-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable 15m Male/Male is a 15‑metre active optical cable with SFP28 Male connectors on both ends. Designed for high‑speed links, this AOC implements 25GBASE‑SR4 signaling over multimode fiber within an integrated transceiver assembly. The cable provides a plug‑and‑play option for short‑reach interconnects in data centres and high‑performance networking environments where SFP28 ports are used.

Advantages

This active optical cable integrates transmitter and receiver modules at each end, reducing the need for separate transceivers and simplifying installation. The SFP28 Male/Male connection follows industry MSA form‑factor standards, ensuring mechanical compatibility with devices that accept SFP28 AOC modules. With a 15 m length it supports flexible rack and row cabling while avoiding electrical signal degradation associated with long copper runs.

Suitable for

• High‑density switch‑to‑switch connections in data centres
• Server uplinks and top‑of‑rack networking
• Storage systems and SAN interconnects using SFP28 ports
• Short‑reach InfiniBand and 25G Ethernet links within equipment rooms

Key specifications

• Connector type: SFP28 Male to SFP28 Male
• Nominal length: 15 metres
• Transmission standard: compatible with 25GBASE‑SR4 signaling
• Fiber type: multimode optical link with integrated active transceivers
• Application: short‑reach high‑speed data transmission for Ethernet and Fibre Channel over Ethernet

How to use

Install the BlueOptics SFP28‑AOC‑15M‑VA‑BO by plugging each SFP28 module into compatible SFP28 ports on the two devices to be connected, ensuring the modules are fully seated and latched. No external powering or separate transceivers are required because optical transceivers are integrated into the cable ends. Verify link status and negotiated speed on both connected devices after insertion. For reliable operation, handle the cable by the connector housings and avoid tight bends closer than the manufacturer’s recommended bend radius.

Recommendations

Use this AOC in controlled indoor environments such as data centre racks and equipment rooms. Confirm that your switching, routing or storage hardware officially supports compatible SFP28 AOC modules to ensure full interoperability. Avoid routing the cable near sources of strong electromagnetic interference and protect connectors from contamination when not in use.
